During the seminar, officials of Ministry of Commerce introduced the development history of Chinese economy after the reform and opening up, the implementation of China’s “going global” strategy and relevant policies, the development situation of China’s foreign investmnet cooperation; speakers from China Academy of Building Research, Hydrochina Corporation, China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co. Ltd., Dalian University of Technology respectively introduced Chinese standard system and application of China housing construction, hydropower wind power and high-speed railway construction. They also had a discussion with the seminar participants and took them to visit the hydropower and railway projects in Zhejiang and Sichuan province. Asian and African region is China’s traditional market of foreign investment and cooperation. This seminar plays a positive role in deepening developing countries’ understanding of Chinese engineering standards.
