Chairman’s Address
Respected ladies and gentlemen:
It is my great honor to introduce to you and your friends China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) and its members.
Since its establishment in 1988, following the guiding principle of “Coordination, Guidance, Consultation and Service”, CHINCA has been actively providing services, communicating appeals and strengthening industrial self-discipline to promote the development of China's foreign investment, international project contracting, labor service cooperation and other international economic and technological cooperation.
Since China's reform and opening-up, its economic and technological cooperation with foreign countries has developed robustly. Chinese companies, with their advanced technologies, multi-industry expertise, strong capability and sound reputation, have made remarkable achievements in the international market. They have accumulated rich experiences in investment and cooperation while winning extensive confidence and acclaim.
CHINCA and its members will, as always, sincerely cooperate with friends from all circles for common progress, and actively contribute its share to the economic development of all countries and the whole world in the 21 st century.

Nature
CHINCA represents and expresses the common will of the industry of foreign investment, international project contracting, labor services and other international economic cooperation in China, channels rational suggestions of the members to the government and other authorities, participates in the studies and making of the relevant laws and regulations and industrial policies and the formulation of industrial standards and development plans. It represents the industry in foreign exchanges and engagement to maintain the legal rights and interests of the members and the workers.
CHINCA exercise self-discipline over the industry. It establishes rules and conventions of the industry, coordinates member businesses, conducts the building of industrial credit system and take charge of the rewards and penalties within the industry to maintain national interests and fair play.
CHINCA provides services for enterprises and relevant social agencies and institutions. It offers services in information, consulting and training and guides the enterprises in problem-solving in their business expansion. CHINCA also organizes exhibitions, conferences, market inspections and explorations at home and abroad for its members to facilitate their overseas development.
CHINCA represents the industry in international trade organizations, attends relevant international meetings and establishes contact with other international, regional and national trade organizations to promote international cooperation within the industry.
CHINCA performs other duties trusted by the government, required by the members and needed by the development of the industry.
Members' Business Scope
International Project Contracting
Among CHINCA's members, about 800 of them are engaged in international project contracting, representing over 90% business value of the whole industry. With their strength and rich experiences, CHINCA's members are capable of undertaking various projects in both EPC and investment-oriented modes (BT, BOT, PPP), including but not limited to industrial and civil buildings, water resources and power engineering, transportation, petrochemical, electro-communication, sewage and environment protection; equipped with strong capability in engineering consulting, reconnaissance and design; providing complete plant and commissioning, production management and technology transfer. Up to now, their business has extended to more than 180 countries and regions. Scores of the members have been listed among the ENR Top 225 International Contractors with several of them among Global Top 500 Corporations.
International Labor Service Cooperation
There are over 500 members engaged in international labor service cooperation. These enterprises abide by the contracts with good faith, strengthen management at home and abroad and work hard to enhance their service level. Their efforts have been recognized by workers as well as overseas employers, opening up broad business channels. Labor service export has been expanding continuously, covering areas such as construction engineering, garment processing, agriculture, forestry, husbandry and fishery, electronic assembling, mechanical processing and ocean seamen involving more than 100 countries and regions around the world including Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Russia, Israel, the USA, Mauritius, Germany, Kuwait, the UAE, Thailand, Jordan, Vietnam and Lithuania.
